(OMG?) is pleased to announce that it has updated the Business Intermediate Level in the OMG Certified Expert in BPM 2 (OCEB 2) certification program. The update reflects improvements made to the organization's Business Process Model & Notation (BPMN) specification in Version 2.0.
The new examination also includes a section on Decision Modeling. Based on OMG's new Decision Model and Notation specification, this addition expands coverage into an arena that is moving rapidly into mainstream process automation. Building on an established base provided by Business Rules (which are also covered in this exam), this technology enables an enterprise to further automate and improve its business decision-making.

Holders of OMG certifications gain recognition for their demonstrated commitment to their profession. An OCEB 2 certification can open the doors to job advancement and promotion, or help with new career opportunities. OCEB 2 certified experts will have the distinction of demonstrating their knowledge of the most up-to-date version of BPMN. OMG encourages practitioners who hold the original OCEB Business Intermediate certification level (or any of the original OCEB examination levels) to upgrade to OCEB 2 to show that they have kept their BPM knowledge and skills current.
OCEB 2 examinations are offered worldwide in English at Pearson VUE testing centers and will cost $200 USD in native English-speaking countries; $210 USD in countries where English is not the native language and where testing time is extended by 30 minutes. Candidates who have taken the original OCEB Business Intermediate examination may request an OCEB 2 discount voucher from OMG. Granted on a sliding scale, the discount starts at 20% but reaches 100% for those who took the original OCEB Business Intermediate after November 1, 2013. OCEB 2 Certification at a particular level is valid for five years.
